Lowongan Kerja – PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC ) adalah perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang terletak di wilayah Sengata, Kalimantan Timur. KPC telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1992, dan merupakan salah satu pertam bangan open pit terbesar di dunia. PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) mengoperasikan tambang batubara di Sangatta Kalimantan Timur dan merupakan salah satu tambang batubara ekspor terbesar di dunia. Untuk mempertahankan posisinya sebagai penghasil batu bara paling efisien di dunia, KPC sedang melakukan peningkatan bisnis dan kinerja secara formal. PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) memiliki konsesi pertambangan dengan ukuran sekitar 90.938 hektar di Sangatta dan Bengalon di provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Pada 2012, total produksi batubara KPC di tambang Sangatta dan Bengalon mencapai 41,0 juta ton, naik dari 40,5 juta ton pada 2011.

Saat ini PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) kembali membuka lowongan kerja terbaru pada bulan April 2024 untuk sejumlah posisi yang dibutuhkan. Berikut adalah posisi dan kualifikasi lowongan yang tersedia pada saat ini.

Lowongan Kerja PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC)

1. Engineer – Mining (MOD)

Qualifications:

• S1 in Mining Engineering from a reputable university with minimum 3 years related experience.
• Good understanding of mining software, e.g., Minex, Talpac, and Shotplus.
• Sound knowledge of mining regulations.
• Good computer skills, particularly in Spreadsheet.
• Proven skills in 3-dimensional analysis.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa and English; as a guide, level of proficiency in English is minimum level 4.

Key elements of the position include:

• Implement daily and weekly work plans. Maintain a record of jobs and review weekly with superiors for assignment priorities.
• Perform a regular weekly field inspection.
• Initiate review meetings for the output team.
• Consult daily with production staff.
• Establish mid-term plans, schedules, and reports.
• Prepare conceptual designs for new development or mining areas.
• Prepare weekly and monthly schedules, plans, and reports which show how mining should progress.
• Develop necessary designs for roads, dumps, and drainage. Manage and undertake annual budget planning tasks and related project work that includes production schedule and costing.
• Design and develop the Pit’s drilling and blasting plans to optimise drill, MMU, and stemming truck utilisation and contribute to the effective operation of the site.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate explosive requirements to achieve blasting targets within quality, safety, time, production, and financial parameters.
• Provide broken rock volume and explosive consumption reports and informal updates to the superior, highlight blasting results compared to pit explosive usage, and demonstrate accountability.
• Oversee and inspect field work on a regular basis to check the accuracy of depth hole, charging explosive, and tie-up activities, adhere to agreed safety guidelines, and produce blasting reports for review by management. Monitor and assess the development of blasting plans to ensure that they are technically correct and that the blast patterns and sequences will suit prevailing conditions. Monitor blast plans, check on the progress of blast area preparation, and arrange the scheduling of blasting.
• Liaise with Pit Geologists to obtain coal seam and geological data and maintain computer database.
• Provide broken inventory, diggable days, and explosive consumption reports.
• Produce post-blast and hard-digging investigation reports.
• Ensure all blasting and drilling plans follow company and government regulations.
• Develop and maintain appropriate and efficient operating procedures and practices; apply the most optimum way in running every department program; negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and external consultants.
• Demonstrate and encourage conformity to and implementation of HSE regulations, policies, rules, and systems.
• Supervise and implement business and performance improvement within the work unit.
• Implement activities as instructions to achieve efficient and optimum manner.
• Contribute to the implementation of knowledge management within the work unit by, e.g., performing coaching and knowledge sharing with peers.

2. Superintendent – Data Science (CFO)

Qualification :

• Master Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or relevant analytics field with minimum 8 years experience in data science.
• Fast learner in business processes, especially the mining industry.
• Deep hands-on experience in machine learning, relational databases, and open-source programming languages (Python, R) for large-scale data analysis.
• Deep hands-on in database sets and engines, e.g., POSTGRE, SAP HANA, ORACLE, MS SQL, and HADOOP.
• Proficient in project management concepts such as waterfall, agile, and Lean.
• Proven track record of delivering business value through analytical models.
• Experience in developing advanced data science and machine learning infrastructure and systems.
• Strong knowledge of data science technologies and machine learning concepts and experience in developing models from research, to a proof of concept, to a production pipeline.
• Deep understanding of working in cloud and hybrid environments, e.g., GCP, AWS, AZURE.
• Excellent communication with prior experience coordinating multiple stakeholder groups.
• Passion for continuous improvement.
• A cultural leader who can infuse the culture of creativity and innovation.

Key elements of the position include:

• Lead the development and implementation of the company group data science strategy, including the use of predictive analytics, delivering insights, and driving strategic growth.
• Build and develop the best team of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Define and cultivate best practices in analytics instrumentation and experimentation.
• Develop and implement best practices for data analysis and modeling, ensuring that we are using cuttingedge techniques to derive insights from complex data sets.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams within the groups in problem framing and conception of ideas to develop consensus and execute the machine learning use cases.
• Lead and build machine learning models through all phases of development from design, testing, data gathering, training, evaluation, validation, governance, and implementation. Maintain the health of machine learning systems, including speed, model accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Champion efforts to design and implement strategic fan growth initiatives such as models for lifetime value forecasting, subscriber lapse propensity, lead scoring, season-ticket member retention, and media mix modeling. Measure outcomes and translate analytical insights into recommendations that are clearly linked to the organization’s strategy and goals.
• Take an active innovation role in the company group by identifying new business processes that could benefit from Data Science support.
